Carrie Martin’s Evergreen is released on vinyl LP in late Spring 2023

This is an amazing album showing off the talents of Hull singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist. This follows Entity and Seductive Sky, both previously released on our label.

The vinyl will include an exclusive track, Luna.

Included in the album will be a lyric sheet and a postcard of the beautiful artwork commissioned for the album and painted by Clare Roper-Paris.

The first 100 copies of the vinyl have been signed by Carrie

Carrie Martin’s Evergreen released on vinyl LP in late Spring 2023

SIDE a
1.  Beside the Evergreen
Written during lockdown and featuring Jim Waltham on bass guitar. Check out the video of this wonderful track
2.  Earth Angel
Inspired by a story heard on a visit to Wales. Jim Waltham is also on this track as are the voices of Martha & Alice Tregonning.
3.  End of Story
Another track that has emerged from the growing friendship between Carrie and author Louise Swanson. Her latest book, End of Story, is due for release by Hodder in the Spring of 2023.
4.  Keep in the Light
This track blew our minds at Psychotron. An accidental prog-rock track that Carrie wrote and discarded, only to be encouraged to finish it by other musicians.  It features the amazing keyboard playing of Oliver Wakeman and the awesome electric guitar sound of Roger Fisher from HEART.
SIDE b
1.  Boxes of Nothing
Shows off Carrie’s tremendous talent as an acoustic guitar player. An instrumental track where the influences and encouragement received from her mentor, Gordon Giltrap MBE are showcased.
2.  Deep Blue Heaven
A great track with more of a bluesy feel. Carrie has fellow Vintage endorsers playing with her on this track. Special guest John Verity adds electric guitar and Jamie Mallender plays bass.
3.  The Tempest
This track was inspired by a painting of the same name, and another redhead in Carrie’s life – Linda @ Psychotron Records!
4.  Lost in the Right Time
This is an amazing first song to write when united with a new instrument – Carrie’s first composition using her new dulcimer – Demelza.
5. Luna.
This is one of Carrie’s early compositions included on her first album. She has revisited and re-recorded it and we release it exclusively on the vinyl copy of Evergreen.
