Starting Collecting Records

Maybe you are just starting collecting records again or maybe you have re-discovered a pile of old vinyl in the attic

If you have a precious collection that you have gathered over many years but no longer play it you may be wondering what to do with it.  We would encourage you to get a great hi-fi and a comfy armchair and listen to it. Listen to some of those old favourites and take a trip down memory lane. You never know – it might just be the thing that gets you starting collecting records again.

Otherwise, sell it to us and we will find it a new home.

What is your collection worth?

There are many factors that need to be considered. It needs to be the ‘right’ music, the ‘right’ issue and in the best condition. These will all affect the price.

For details on the ‘right’ music, see our guide to collectible labels.

For information about the condition see our guide here.

The ‘right’ issue is what we have learnt over the decades of buying and selling records which keeps us competitive despite the rise of sites that seem to make it easy for everyone to sell records.

You may be tempted by these sites and if you have just ten albums it may work if you can build up the feedback to give you the credibility. However, selling a whole collection individually on these sites takes a huge amount of time and effort, specialist packing materials and a daily trip to the post office.

We have the experience and credibility to do this and so can ensure a good re-homing service for your precious vinyl.

We are happy to discuss buying whole collections and will travel across the UK for the right music.

So, if you do decide to sell and clear up some space then give us a call on 07791 633362 or fill in the contact form below and we will get back to you.
