We will buy albums on the DAWN record label
Dawn Records
The DAWN record label was founded in September 1969 and closed in February 1976. It was a subsiduary of Pye Records. DAWN released some great progressive rock and folk LPs which are desirable, but they also put out some pop records which are less desirable – except to label completists.
This was PYE’s progressive music offshoot with many fine records included, the biggest selling act was probably Mungo Jerry who were very successful and produced quite a string of hits.
Most of the releases on the DAWN record label are worth something and there are a couple of sought after gems by collectors. If you find something on the DAWN record label in your collection then give me a call on 07791 633362.
I have picked a couple of my favourite tracks.
COMUS did 1 great lp on the label then migrated to the new Virgin label for their second, Acid Folk style …
GRAVY TRAIN first appeared on Vertigo for 2 albums then moved to Dawn for their 3rd and 4th, UK progressive…
