Mercy and the Wild Sea I had this bought for me as a gift and boy do I love this album !! Got it today .. played it three times already! If you’re a fan of Wars of The Worlds then you will love this ! A modern day feel though and it tells the story of a highly qualified Space Ranger Mercy when she is Court Marshalled. Apparently a Birmingham band are behind this .... great lead vocalist Corrine Lucy is mix of Ann Wilson meets Alannis Morrisette ... totally love her voice ! The whole album has a rock feel ... thumping bass lines.. powerful drumming and atmospheric lead guitar ! The narrator has a precise tone to his voice similar to a Richard Burton feel ! Corrine has a fab voice delicate where need but totally in control and I love the 80s rock harmonies ... just superb ! Well presented in a gate fold cover .. love the internal artwork snd it comes complete with a booklet which is great to look through Definitely worth adding to your vinyl collection and not that many were made apparently ! Great selection of CDs that are in superb condition for less than you would pay on Amazon or ebay. I prefer the CD format for car. My friend loves the vinyl. An amazing choice, constantly changing. We are regulars late on a Saturday afternoon and are often the last to leave. Sorry! A brilliant shop, a must for any music enthusiast.read more

This is a lovely little shop; great stock, old school record shop feel to it. In the time I was there the owner had played AC/DC, Sabbath and Human League, which is a good sign by any measure. Soul and funk section was something else (more than one Jimmy Castor Bunch record. A mint pressing of James Brown's Sex Machine, Curtis Mayfield. I could go on). Support this place because there's no record shop like it anywhere near Sutton.read more
